NIKE Girls EYBL - Chicago - Session 4 - Championship Recap & 17U Top Players.
The girls basketball club season is driven by high school players being able to compete in front of college coaches, with a chance to earn college scholarships. Nike Girls EYBL has been known as the top circuit over the last 10+ years, being able to attend Nike Nationals and watch some of the best players on the planet go at each other was a great 4 days. I will take a look at the Platinum championships of the EYBL 15U/16U/17U divisions and also my top players from the 17U division.

Nike Nationals MVP - 2027 - 5’6” - Guard - Chastity Rice - Etiwanda HS (CA) - Sports Academy Swish - Averaged 19.9/Pts - 3.7/Reb - 3.6/Ast - Shot %56 from 3-Pt line (28-50) - Made all of the big shots and helped Sports Academy Swish comeback for victory in elite eight and final four games. Scoring leader for the championship game with 19 pts and 4-3Ptrs.
2027 - 5’10” - Guard - Charis Rainey - Windward HS (CA) - Sports Academy Swish - Major key to the success of the national championship team with her versatility on the court. Averaged 10.9/PPG along with 6.3/RPG and 2.3/APG, Rainey led the team with 11 rebounds in the championship game to go along with 12 points.
2027 - 6’0” - Guard - Sydney Savoury - Belleville HS (MI) - Sports City Angels - Named 1st Team all EYBL and MVP of the 17U bracket by Nike, Sydney averaged 21.7/PPG along with 5.3/RPG and 2.0/STL. One of the top scoring threats in high school basketball with a great balance of elite skill, shooting ability and IQ.
2027 - 5’8” - Guard - Amaya Manuel - Lift For Life Academy (MO) - Missouri Phenom - Led her team to the national championship game by averaging 15.3/PPG along with 4.4/RPG and 5.3/APG. Amaya made all of the big plays for her team to win, finding her teammates for open shots and scoring when needed.
2028 - 5’10” - Guard - Jaylah king - Bishop Mcnamara (MD) - Team Takeover - Played very well in helping her team to the elite eight of the Platinum bracket. Jaylah averaged 16.8/PPG and knocked down 16 - three pointers over her 6 games played, add in 2.3/APG and 2.3/SPG, she had herself a very productive four days.
2027 - 5’10” - Guard - Jezelle “GG” Banks - St. James (VA) - Team Durant - During her final run at Nike Nationals, Jezelle averaged 20.2/PPG along with 6.8/APG and 2.1/SPG. The number one point guard in the 2027 class showed why, time and time again with her play making ability and high IQ. Named 1st Team All EYBL by Nike.
2027 - 6’1” - Forward - Lenise Joseph - North Mecklenburg HS (NC) - Carolina Hornets - After leading her team to victory in an EYBL play-in game. Lenise led the EYBL in scoring during Nike Nationals with a 23.2/PPG average to go along with 7.0/RPG and 1.4/BPG. Outstanding performance for the top returning senior in North Carolina.
2028 - 6’0” - Wing - London Thomas - St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) - Essence - Averaged 21.2/PPG along with 5.0/RPG and 2.0/AST during the 6 games played in Chicago. London is a talented player that uses her versatility on both sides of the court to dominate play, scoring 36 points along with six - three pointers against Why Not Premier.
2027 - 6’2” - Forward - Jordyn Palmer - Westtown School (PA) - Philly Rise - Averaged 19.3/PPG along with 7.2/RPG and 3.2/SPG. Jordyn showed her perimeter skills throughout the weekend and will be tough to stop on the court heading into her senior year of high school. Named 1st Team All EYBL by Nike.
2029 - 6’2” - Forward - Carib Morris - South Forsyth HS (GA) - Her Elite - Helped Her Elite to a final four appearance in their 1st year by averaging 18.1/PPG along with 6.1/RPG. Carib is already known as a great shooter and she showed it by hitting 28 three pointers over her 7 games played. Carib went 21-22 from the free throw line, including three to tie the game against Southern Starz and send it to overtime.
2027 - 5’10” - Guard - Ashley Maccalla - St. James (NY) - Exodus NYC - Averaged 15.2/PPG along with 3.2/APG and 1.3/SPG during her final run in Chicago. Ashley is an elite level athlete that can change the game at any point with great defensive intensity and scoring ability..
2028 - 5’10” - Guard - Arianna Robinson - Plano East HS (TX) - CyFair Elite - Led her team to a 3rd place finish in the Platinum division by averaging 17.7/PPG along with 3.3/RPG and 2.6/SPG. Arianna is a 2X Gold Medalist with USA Basketball and showed that she can perform under pressure for her team. Three level scorer that can play equally on and off the ball.
2028 - 5’11” - Guard - Tatianna Griffin - Ontario Christian HS (CA) - Sports Academy Swish - Helped lead her team to the national championship by averaging 15.0/PPG along with 6.0/RPG and 5.1/APG. Tatianna had her biggest scoring day in the final four game against CyFair, she scored 27 Points and helped lead the come from behind victory.
2029 - 5’11” - Guard - Kristen Winston - Hoover HS (AL) - Al Southern Starz - Averaged 17.3/PPG along with 3.5/APG and 2.6/SPG over her 6 contests in Chicago. Kristen erupted for a 31 point game where she hit seven - three pointers during the quarterfinal round of the Platinum bracket against Her Elite.
2027 - 6’3” - Forward - Katie Muller - Dowling Catholic (IA) - Missouri Phenom - Made some of the biggest plays for the phenom during their run to the championship game. Katie averaged 7.9/PPG along with 2.7/RPG over the seven games that her team played in 4 days. During the final four and championship game, Katie hit six of her 11 - three pointers during Nike Nationals, gave them the lead in final four and tied the game in the championship game on three pointers.
2027 - 6’2” - Guard - Qandace Samuels - Bishop Mcnamara (MD) - Team Takeover - Averaged 20.0/PPG with 8.7/RPG and 3.2/SPG over 6 games played in Chicago. Qandace left no doubt that she is a scorer and showcased her ability to score at all 3-levels in her final Nike Nationals event. One of the best “tough shot makers" in grassroots girls basketball. Named 1st Team All EYBL by Nike.
2027 - 6’7” - Post - Jayla Forbes - Montverde Academy (AL) - Her Elite - Named Defensive Player of the year and 1st team All EYBL by Nike. Averaged 12.9/PPG along with 7.4/RPG and 1.7/BPG for a team that made the final four. Jayla is an interior force on the offensive side of the court that can step out to make three pointers as well. University of Texas verbal commit.
2027 - 6’0” - Guard - Ryan Carter - Friends Central School (PA) - Exodus NYC - Finished off her club career by averaging 14.0/PPG along with 3.7/RPG and 3.3/SPG over 6 games. Ryan has a high IQ and three level scoring ability that has been shown over her EYBL career.
2028 - 5’10” - Guard - Giovanna Burress - Depaul Catholic HS (NJ) - Philly Rise - Played extremely well in Chicago while averaging 15.7/PPG along with 3.7/RPG and 3.2/APG over six games played. Giovanna is a dynamic scorer that can attack the rim or shoot the ball from the perimeter with consistency.
2029 - 5’11” - Guard - Jaiyana Bogan-Jacobs - Campo Verde HS (AZ) - Why Not Premier - Solidified her status as one of the top 2029 prospects in grassroots basketball. Jaiyana was able to average 20.2/PPg along with 5.5/RPG and 3.7/APG over her six games played in Chicago.
2030 - 5’11” - Guard - Kimora Wynn - Holy Innocents Episcopal School (GA) - Kentucky Premier - One of the youngest players on a 17U roster this weekend, played very well over her 4 days of action. Kimora averaged 15.8/PPG along with 2.8/SPG and knocked down 12 - three pointers to establish herself amongst the best rising 9th graders in grassroots basketball.
